Luis Gutiérrez Cárdenas and Orlando Gutiérrez Domínguez are cousins, but they have more in common than blood ties, they share universal values such as empathy and humanism. These rice producers live in Calabaza 6, belonging to the Antillean district of Feria 5, and they donated more than a quintal to distribute it among families in that community.

Luis, who is also a delegate of the Municipal Assembly of People's Power, tells me that they wanted to share their harvest and conducted a survey to find out how many neighbors were not planting the grain. "The result was 24 homes. We delivered the rice to the warehouse for its equitable distribution and it reached all of these families".

The beneficiaries of this humane gesture are grateful to "Los Gutiérrez" because "they are so good, always helping in the neighborhood"... "They don't think twice about lending a hand to anyone"... "They are good people"... "I, without hesitation, am very grateful to them.
I, neither short nor lazy, invite them to pose in front of my lens "so that all of Antilla knows them". They resist a little because "good deeds are done without calling the world to see them", but I insist, and I get this snapshot that I decided to share with you.
