Strengthening the operation of water resources and maximizing their performance together with the infrastructure of the municipality of Antilla, is the fundamental objective of the hydraulic program in the territory. This is seen from a progressive point of view, contemplated in the Integral Development Program until 2030. A clear example of this is that the rehabilitation of the local networks has incorporated 8,456 inhabitants to a service of +12 hours. With a view to accelerating this process of economic, social and environmental development, the program seeks to guarantee access to efficiency and sustainability in the use of water for all districts.
In relation to the sewerage networks, among the main investments contemplated for 2024 is the incorporation of the service to 960 inhabitants, together with the maintenance and rehabilitation of the collector and the lagoon of La Playita.
In dialogue with Ulicer Olmos Reyes, director of the Aqueduct and Sewerage Base Business Unit, he said that one of the greatest challenges in the current work stage is to optimize the delivery cycle in the traditional neighborhoods and in the districts ceded from the municipality of Banes.
